In brief, none of investors are always successful in investment. Because there are some irrational behaviors that they have, such as herd mentality, confirmation bias, and mental accounting. It can be obstruction for their investment. Therefore, they must be able to overcome their irrational behavior by doing research in sector of investment which they want, having their own kick-ass goals, and calculating the money accurately for  period of time.
